Victor Kress has taken part in the actions dated for celebrating of Day of the Russian guards
In Tomsk military school the solemn meeting has taken place in which, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants of operations in Afghanistan have taken part.
The governor Victor Kress has handed over commemorative medals «65 years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945» for active work with veterans, participation in patriotic education of citizens and a big contribution to preparation and carrying out of anniversary of the Great Victory to Gennady Moiseyev, the chairman of regional branch of the All-Russia public organization of veterans (pensioners) of war, work, Armed forces and law enforcement bodies, to Natalia Morokova, the head of section of memorial-search work of Tomsk city council of veterans, Vladimir Kravchenko, the chairman of board of Association of defense-sports clubs of the Tomsk region, Sergey Shiljaev, the director of Tomsk Military School.
Besides, according the decision of the governor Sergey Shiljaev will be awarded by one more medal — «65 years of the Great Victory» — for active work with veterans of the Great Patriotic War and patriotic education of rising generation. The same award will be received by Svetlana Nemiro, the head of the museum of fighting glory of 96th Guards shooting division of Tomsk Polytechnic Professional Lycée № 20.
Today the governor together with veterans has taken part in putting on of flowers to the Memorial of fighting and labour glory of Tomsk citizens in Lagerny garden.
