The Tomsk region will help with hay, straw and a potato the regions which have suffered from drought
Today at meeting with heads of municipal unions which was spent by governor Victor Kress, the mechanism of the help to regions of the central Russia which have suffered from drought was discussed.
The Tomsk region is ready to help the regions which have suffered from drought by giving them hay and straw under «the social price». So, cost of ton of hay will make from 1,5 to 2 thousand roubles, straw ton - from 400 to 450 roubles. According to the governor, «through this support we will assist the agricultural manufacturers». As the Russian government this week should make the decision on an establishment of special tariffs for transportation of such production by rail.
The region also is ready to export 30 thousand tons of a potato from personal farmsteads of inhabitants of the Tomsk region. By the way, the Republic Mordovia has already shown interest to purchase Tomsk potato. In telephone conversation with the governor of the Tomsk region Victor Kress the president of Mordovia Nikolay Merkushkin has declared readiness to get 3 - 5 thousand tons of «the second bread» of Russians.
It is expected that representatives of Mordovia and Bashkortostan this week will visit the Tomsk region to familiarise with offers of Tomsk citizens.
