Dear employees and veterans of FSB boundary bodies of Russia!
I congratulate you on your professional holiday!
Almost a century frontier troops protect borders of our country, and Siberians with honour bear the service on the most extended in the world borders.
Officers-veterans of a frontier service who professionally protected borders of our Native land live in the Tomsk region also.
Every year our fellow countrymen-contract employees go to carry out the soldier’s duty in such difficult regions, as the North Caucasus, the Far East, Kamchatka.
From year to year graduates of Tomsk higher educational institutions, technical schools and secondary special educational institutions pass educational courses in smithies of boundary staff in Kaliningrad, Moscow, Galitsyno, Anapa, Kurgan, Khabarovsk. Our region, far from every border, thus, brings the notable contribution to protection of native boundaries.
It would be desirable to wish you, frontier guards, a sound health, well-being that the Native land always remembered and honoured the courageous defenders. And, as they say, let the border always be locked, and the key — in the pocket!

On May, 28th, 1918 Council of national commissioners has founded Boundary protection of RSFSR. Then the Central administrative board of boundary protection has been created.
The Frontier Guard Day is celebrated in Russia on May, 28th. This military and professional holiday is founded in 1994 by the decree of the president of Russia. The purpose — revival of historical traditions of Russia and traditions of frontier troops.
