Inhabitants of Parabelsky region thank the governor for the action of Tomsk oncologists on early revealing of a mammary gland cancer
Addressed to the governor of the Tomsk region Victor Kress the letter has arrived from inhabitants of settlement Narym of Parabelsky region in which they express gratitude to the head of region «for huge attention to health of countrymen».
It is a question of the joint action of the Tomsk Regional Oncological Clinic and Scientific research institute of oncology Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Science on inspection of inhabitants of the remote municipal unions of the region about the early revealing of a mammary gland cancer. Diagnostics is carried out with use of a mobile mammalogy complex. In particular, in February the action has passed in Kargasoksky region, in March experts have visited Parabelsky region.
As world experience shows, a start of similar screening programs allows to undertake an effectively mass diagnostics of a mammary gland cancer at an early stage when it is curable in 95 % cases.
«Experts of the Tomsk Regional Oncological Clinic had visited earlier the remote regions with routine inspections. Now with the advent of a mobile mammagraph these visits will have more high-grade character. We hope for the further care of ours health», - is told in the letter.
