Opening the August teachers' meeting, governor Victor Kress has declared that this year — Year of Teacher — in the Tomsk region, at last, will appear a monument to the teacher. Now a half of the necessary sum (two millions roubles) for the monument erection is collected. The governor has promised to allocate the missing sum from contingencies fund.
On the eve of session of the State council of the Russian Federation «Priorities of development of vocational training in the Russian Federation», the chairman of working group on which preparation is the governor of the Tomsk region, Victor Kress has declared that initial vocational training requires serious support from the authorities of all levels.
